Oil Painting Fun!
On Sunday, Bill and William oil painting completed their oil painting class!Bill made several paintings throughout his oil painting course, focusing on narrative and storytelling. For our last class though, we decided to look at more conceptual baseball jerseys and alternative processes for making a painting. We decided to focus on the game tic-tac-toe and see how many times it would take to fill the canvas. We lost count, but in the end, we were able to make a mlb jerseys painting by playing games! Towards the end of class, we looked at Jackson Pollock and discussed Minneapolis based artist, Jamie Ischer's leaf blower drawings.
Bill enjoyed the unexpected forms and shapes , as well as the free-flowing composition that came swiss watch brands from the repetitive process. There are so many different ways to make a painting, and Bill liked this process because it was fast and high energy!
William finally finished his prom dresses New York City skyline study and it looks great! We covered a range of lessons from perspective drawing skills to color theory with warm and cool colors. He made amazing progress from week to week and the recognition of the Chrysler Building's details is wonderful! The Chrysler Building glows in the morning sun as many of the other bridesmaid dresses buildings await the coming light. You can even feel the warmth of the sunrise in the pink dawn sky. William chose this picture for many reasons, but most of all, because of his fascination with New York. William is a world rs gold traveler and has yet to go to the Big Apple, but one day he hopes to see this famous icon!
